Work Queue
The Work Queue is your main dashboard for monitoring inventory risk. It displays all items that require attention, sorted by risk level.
Understanding the Columns
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Material / Plant | Material code and description. Below it shows the plant code and purchasing group. |
| Coverage | Days of demand the current stock can cover based on Average Daily Consumption (ADC). Color-coded: red (<30d), yellow (30-90d), green (>90d). |
| Stockout | Estimated days until stock reaches zero. Values under 14 days are critical. Infinite (∞) means no stockout risk at current consumption. |
| Risk | CRITICALWARNINGOK Risk level based on days to stockout and safety stock breach. |
| Rec. Qty | Recommended order quantity to reach target coverage days defined in the policy. |
| Delta | Δ CRITΔ WARNΔ Indicates changes detected compared to the previous run. CRIT = significant impact. |
| Policy | OverrideDefault Whether the item uses a custom override policy or the default category rules. |
| Actions | View details, open charts drawer, or configure policies. |
Filtering the Work Queue
Search
Search by material code, description, plant, or supplier.
Severity Filter
Filter by risk level: CRITICAL, WARNING, or OK.
Purchasing Group
Filter by purchasing group (buyer assignment).
Quick Filters
"Changed Today" shows items with deltas. "Rec > 0" shows items with recommendations.
Sorting
Click on any column header with a sort icon to sort by that column. Click again to toggle between ascending and descending order.
Default sort: Items are sorted by severity (CRITICAL first), then by days to stockout (lowest first).
Available Actions
View Details
Open the full item detail page with all metrics, charts, and change history.
Charts
Quick access to stock projection, supply buckets, consumption, and requirements charts.
Policies
View current policy parameters or create an override for this specific item.
Snooze Alert
Temporarily hide items from critical alerts. Useful for dormant or seasonal items.
Snoozing Alerts
Sometimes items show alerts that don't require immediate action — for example, dormant items with no consumption (ADC=0) or seasonal products during off-peak periods. You can snooze these alerts to focus on items that truly need attention.
How Snoozing Works
Click the icon in the Actions column for any item.
Select a reason and duration (7, 14, 30, 60, 90 days, or until critical change).
Snoozed items display a Snoozed badge and appear at the end of the list.
Items auto-reactivate if a critical change is detected, or when the duration expires.
Snooze Reasons
Dormant Item
No activity (ADC=0) for an extended period.
Seasonal
Expected low activity due to seasonality.
Promo Expected
Awaiting a promotion or event that will affect demand.
Manual / Other
Reviewed and no action needed now, or custom reason.
Auto-Reactivation
If a critical change (Δ CRIT) is detected for a snoozed item, the system automatically reactivates it to ensure you don't miss important alerts. This prevents situations where a dormant item suddenly becomes urgent due to unexpected demand.
Manual Reactivation
To reactivate a snoozed item before its duration expires, click the icon that replaces the snooze icon for snoozed items, then confirm reactivation.
Change Tracking (Deltas)
When the system detects significant changes between runs, items are marked with a delta indicator. Click the history icon next to the delta badge to see how metrics have evolved over time.
Critical change - significant impact requiring immediate attention.
Warning change - notable shift that should be reviewed.
Informational change - minor update detected.
