Item Detail
The Item Detail page provides comprehensive information about a specific material, including risk metrics, recommendations, charts, and historical changes.
Risk Assessment Metrics
ADC (Average Daily Consumption)
Weighted average of historical consumption over the configured lookback period. This is the key input for all coverage and stockout calculations.
Coverage Days
How many days of demand the current stock can cover. Formula: Stock ÷ ADC
Days to Safety Breach
Days until stock drops below the safety stock level. Breaching safety stock increases the risk of stockout due to demand variability.
Days to Stockout
Days until stock reaches zero. This is the most critical metric. Values under 14 days trigger CRITICAL status.
Recommendation
Recommended Quantity
The order quantity calculated to bring stock up to the target coverage level.
Rec Qty = (Target Coverage × ADC) - Current StockOrder & Delivery Dates
Order Date: When to place the order (usually today for urgent items).
Delivery Date: Expected arrival based on lead times from SAP master data (Planned Delivery Time + GR Processing Time).
Understanding the Charts
Stock Projection
Shows daily stock levels over the planning horizon, comparing two scenarios:
Projected stock if no order is placed. Shows when stockout would occur.
Projected stock with the recommended order delivered on time.
Note: This is an illustrative projection assuming constant daily consumption.
Time Buckets (PR vs PO)
Weekly supply breakdown from SAP ZPRM data:
- • PO (Purchase Orders): Confirmed orders - committed supply
- • PR (Purchase Requisitions): Planned orders - not yet confirmed
Historical Consumption
Monthly consumption history from SAP ZCOVRM. Used to identify trends and calculate the ADC.
Future Requirements
Monthly forecasted demand from SAP ZCOVRM. Represents expected consumption going forward.
Risk Evolution
Shows how risk metrics have changed across multiple processing runs. Colored markers indicate runs where changes (deltas) were detected. Use this to understand if the item is improving or worsening over time.
Change Detection (Deltas)
When significant changes are detected between runs, they appear in the Changes Detected section. You can filter by change type:
Changes to stock levels or master data
Changes to time bucket quantities (PRs/POs)
Changes to calculated risk metrics
Changes to the recommendation
Planning Parameters
These parameters control how the system calculates safety stock, target coverage, and recommendations. They come from either the default policy or an item-specific override.
Safety Stock Days
Buffer days to protect against demand variability.
Target Coverage Days
Desired days of stock to maintain after replenishment.
Lead Times
Production, transport, and GR processing time for order fulfillment.
Order Constraints
Minimum order quantity and rounding values.
